Project brief
01 What Celebrating 80 Years of Freedom needed
The studio wanted to mark Indonesia's 80th Independence Day with an illustration that avoided the usual flag-waving cliches. The brief asked for a scene rooted in everyday life and cultural vibrancy rather than ceremonial imagery.
02 How the studio approached it
WOBL built the composition around a single neighborhood street corner at dawn, layering human moments into a scene that rewarded close looking. The color palette drew from Indonesian textile traditions, with warm earth tones and a single saturated accent.
03 What came out of it
WOBL published the illustration as a single full-bleed editorial piece for social and studio portfolio.
