The Feral Feast Rebrand and Web Design
- Description
The Feral Feast is a Montana gathering where hunters, anglers, foragers, and firemakers teach wild food to anyone who shows up. WOBL rebranded the festival around a linocut flora system, a logo family that scales from an FF monogram to a full expressive crest, and a palette pulled from the foraging landscape. The live site now sells 2026 tickets, publishes the programming, and runs the Field Notes blog under one voice that keeps the wild and drops the costume.

Project brief
01 What The Feral Feast Rebrand and Web Design needed
Food festival branding reaches for the same shelf: kraft paper, barn boards, a rust serif, a pig. The Feral Feast needed to honor tradition without wearing it as costume, serve chefs and first-time foragers in one voice, and scale from a favicon to a ranch gate banner. The 2026 season gave the rebrand a deadline measured in ticket sales, not reviews.
02 How the studio approached it
The identity grows from the landscape it feeds on. Forager Green, Hearth Orange, Fireweed Pink, and Parchment Cream set a palette sampled from the ranch, with Altero on headlines and Instrument Sans on body copy. Six linocut plants, dandelion, ramp, fireweed, yarrow leaves and flowers, and mushroom, replace stock rustic texture, and a four-tier logo family gives every scale its own mark.
03 What came out of it
The rebrand lives at theferalfeast.com: 2026 tickets, chef demonstrations, wild food seminars from mushroom foraging to hindquarter breakdown, sponsor forms, and the Field Notes blog all run under the new system. Programming content publishes with the brand voice intact.
