Fresca Trattoria; Restaurant Branding

Description

Fresca is a trattoria brand built around the Italian word for fresh. WOBL paired a script wordmark with a bold striped awning system, a cast of anthropomorphic vegetable characters on a sticker-sheet grid, supporting patterns, and print collateral, communicating local sourcing and warm, casual dining in one coherent identity.

Project brief

01 What Fresca Trattoria; Restaurant Branding needed

A trattoria identity has to feel hand-made without falling apart across menus, awnings, cards, and cups. The brief asked for a brand that communicates freshness and local sourcing to diners who have seen a hundred farm-to-table logos, in a market split between rustic kraft paper and corporate minimalism.

02 How the studio approached it

WOBL built the identity around a script wordmark and a two-color striped awning, then extended it with a cast of vegetable characters drawn as a sticker sheet. Supporting patterns, business cards, cups, and a Gusto Autentico seal rounded out the system, with every asset sharing one palette and one drawing voice.

03 What came out of it

The system shipped as a full application set: storefront mockup, logo sketches, stationery, patterns, the seal, cups, and menu collateral. On Behance it second strongest engagement in this pack, driven by the storefront hero image.

Split composition: a diner lifestyle photo beside stacked brand cards. Shows the brand living in print and photography.
The Gusto Autentico circular seal next to a branded cup in hand. Sub-brand depth and tactile application.
Nine anthropomorphic vegetable stickers on a pasta background. The personality core of the identity.
Three supporting patterns: pink stripes, blue diamonds, yellow gingham. The secondary visual language.
Hand-drawn wordmark explorations with designer annotations. Closes the gallery with the process reveal.
